"There are no atheists in a foxhole."
As soon as the theories and logic of atheists put their lives in danger then they start turning to God. Atheist have to put away the idea of God to support their lifestyles. If they admit that there is a God, then they have to admit that they are accountable to someone else. Look at the comments they make, they tell everyone to be freethinking, they call everyone else stupid, they tell everyone they are not being logical. "Use your mind" they keep saying. These individuals do not like the idea of having someone to answer to, even though they do that anyway (man's governments) They have to dismiss God as not being real to justify in their minds not being obedient to Him. Jehovah will make Himself known to all mankind in due time.

If you have studied history, or watched the news lately (or ever, in the last 50 years or so), it can't but come to your attention that the Middle East, the original homeland of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, is in an endless cycle of violence, because of the belief in those religions.
As technology creates better, more destructive weapons, capable of reaching further and further into the world, all humanity is at risk because of the willingness of Christians, Muslims, and Jews to seize on any pretext to kill one another.
People who believe in the God those religions worship believe a catastrophic war will end the world. They believe it so much, it seems, they are actively working toward bringing it about.
I can't help but be angry and resentful. I want the future I think could be if all those people put that energy into building a bright and wonderful future, instead of striving to bring about their own self-fulfilling doom, and everyone else's as well. I don't want to see this world die because of such willful blindness and ignorance.
People who haven't actually held a gun in their hand and attacked another person for their religious beliefs seem to think they are somehow exempt from condemnation. What you don't seem to realize is this; you teach your children to believe in the end of the world, you vote for people who have the power and willingness to attack others in the name of God, and you willingly separate yourselves from the rest of humanity as being somehow better because of your beliefs. You constantly make negative judgements about other human beings because they don't abide by your version of righteousness. Consequently, you spread divisiveness among humankind with each successive generation.
Fear of hell after death has no bearing. Seems it's on it's way to being right here. Thanks ever so.

Yes i think that they think that
God is this evil person who causes the world Pain and Suffering.
If he was a good God wouldn't he provide peace and content to people.
wat kind of god just sits and watches his creations suffering and doing nothing about it... he is just eating popcorn chiken and having a good time.
I have seen this remarks everywhere on this thing.
It Crazy am telling you.
These people just have to read the Bible and have an open mind because the Bible truly is the answer
and if they really belive there is no God, what is the hurt ??

Yes, I tend to feel that atheism and fundamentalism are two bottles with different labels, both empty.
Seriously, most of the vocal atheists on a site like this seem to be mirror images of fundies, right down to their taste for Biblical literalism. I suspect many of the atheists are not philosophically atheist at all, but are merely disgruntled fundies who feel that lableling themselves as "atheists" will cheese off the faithful fundies.

Why are so many christians always asking about atheism? Could it be that deep down in their hearts they don't believe and they are afraid of facing reality?
If that doesn't make sense, then neither does your question. You decide.

I'm not afraid of a place that doesn't exist. I have never believed in the christian deity even when I was forced to go to a christian church (childhood). I don't resent christians. If their religion and beliefs make them happy that is great. Mine make me happy.
If I resented christians I wouldn't have married one.

That is a load of crap, seriously. If I believed in your god then I would not be Atheist.
What about people of other faiths? Are Pagans really closet Christians too? And Muslims?

I think they listen to satan... that is why they don't believe in God in the first place... but they don't believe in satan either...
ever know anyone that was a true athiest? one that did not believe... but did not run your religion down? Because it does not matter to them? Others I don't think are so convinced that there is not God, so they need to put others down who do believe... it makes them feel better... or... at least superior... to Christian children.
