In response to your question!. (1). Yes, a non-christian can live their whole life and not cheat on their spouse , because it's their choice!... (2). Yes, a non-christian can live their whole life and not murder another human being, because it's their choice!......(3). yes, a non- christian can decide not to steal their neighbor's ox! because it's their choice!...(4). Yes, a non-christian can go through their whole life and feel sorry they lied to people, because that's their choice!.....That Still Doesn't Make A Person Right With GOD To Go To Heaven!.....Here's the point you non-belivers are missing!....Being Born Again is through Jesus without good works to get you into Heaven on your own (Eph. 2: 8, 9), (John 14: 6), However, that doesn't mean that a person who has received Christ can willfully do these things and get by with it!, A Born Again Believer Has No desires to things of the world that are an abomination to the GOD they serve, where non-believers do continue in things that are attractive to their flesh and not to GOD!..believers have the mind of Christ (Phil. 2: 5)....where unbelievers have the mind of satan & self! ( Matt. 16: 24)........read the Birth, the Death, and the Resurrection of Christ to those who believe & receive Christ! ( John 1: 12, 13).....these verses should shine some light on your questions!......

Self-control is practiced by all kinds of people, including "christians", with varying degrees of success. According to the Bible, the problem is the "flesh" or "carnal nature". When a person becomes a true christian, by being "born of the Spirit", the victorious life can be lived by faith, considering that the "old man" or uncontrollable carnal nature has been crucified with Christ (pictured and identified with in water baptism). It is the only promise and hope that I know of for living a sexually moral lifestyle. Not many "christians", including myself, have consistently been able to live with such faith. But, at least, we are getting better. And we do have God's promise of forgiveness and restoration through Jesus' blood, when we stumble.

So, what you are saying is that everyone who has ever lived who is not a Christian will not get into Heaven. Heaven is an exclusive country club! Amazing how people can say one thing and then act immorally and still claim to be righteous. If Heaven is filled with righteous Christians, I'll find another country club to join.
And the answer to all of your questions is yes. One does not need to be Christian to be moral. Or insufferably, priggishly moral.

All the above is no...you don't. Christians have a vast moral library, which is the bible. Along with that, many books have been written that aren't religious and the precepts are based on bible principles regarding morality. Other religions may not be as extensive as Christianity, however, that does not mean they are incapable of displaying a moral code that is beneficial for all.
Buddhism has a strong moral code.

Of course non-christians can be moral, and I find it disturbing and offensive that you feel the need to even ask whether or not non-christians are moral. I'm an athiest myself, but I still consider myself a moral person. You see, no matter who may or may not have created us, I believe that human beings have inherent value in and of themselves. If the only reason you're not killing people, lying and cheating is that you think God might smite you, you're missing out on something no matter what religion you are (no offense). Humans have value for thier own sake, we have value because we are people, no matter what religion we are. That's the point in morals. You don't hit me because you think God might not like it, I don't hit you because I think you might not like it.

Yes to all of those questions! I am sorry to hear about your neighbor not having an ox. Perhaps there is something else you could covet so that you don't have to feel so very non-christian.

No you need to be of moral character. Unfortunately it's not about religion. A Christian is one who believes that Jesus died for their sins. The law ( the ten commandments) are in place to show us how to live rightly. And also to show us that we could keep the law. Jesus died for that reason to be our redeemer in this area.
Now, saying all that, if we do believe that it we still have to keep the law with all our might but confess it when we don't and we won't want to do what is wrong.
Remember even if you are a non Christian you will still reap the consequences of your actions good or bad.

Christian are just so DAMN ARROGANT, the think the are They only ones, that can, and will be a morally acceptably person..That being the case, why are Irish Catholics, killing Irish Protestant's and vice versa? And yes, I am a Christian.

Claiming to be Christian doesn't mean squat. Living as a
Christian does. One of the first Christians, Paul, said God
doesn't respect persons. Because they claim to be this or that.
He also said there are those who don't have the Law. But
live thier lives according to the Law. And they are a Law unto themselves.

You dont have to Be a Christian to be a good person! Many people who live that way are Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, etc. You can even be an atheist and live a good honest life. You dont need a religion, just morals to be a good person! I have met many evil people who claim to be Christians!
