Did you have an anaphylactic reaction to penicillin? If you did then I could understand why you are reacting the way you are.
You could be paranoid from the reaction you had. Just because you husband is taking penicillin does not mean your having a reaction, except a paranoid reaction.
I'm severely allergic to penicillin, however when my husband took penicillin it never affected me. After my allergic reaction, I became allergic to just about everything. This can be foods also, not just medications. I also get paranoid with any new medication, since I had reaction.
Just to be on the safe side, go to the doctor.

i have never heard of any1 getting secondary allergy 2 penicillin. i am also allergic 2 penicillin and when my daughter had to have some a few weeks ago, it did not affect me!!! but if you have been kissing with your hubby after he has taken his med, then i suppose it is possible!!!!
after he takes his med, tell him to brush his teeth and don't kiss him for about an hour or so!!! and as for the
itch, get yourself an antihistamine allergy tablet. you can but them in most supermarkets. hope this helps!!

good luck. :-)

Suggest you go and see your doctor. When your husband takes his tablet, get him to wash his hands straight away to remove any residue from the tablets from his skin, and to make sure he swills his mouth too ie: if he kisses you after taking tablet, may have traces of penicillin still in his mouth.

Nurses if they touch directly antibiotic tablets can be ineffective if the nurse takes it so if it is on his hand then touches you then it is possible. I would go to the doctor though or even the local pharmacist to check.
