Of course, as more green house gasses is release to the sky. The earth will get warmer. The Arctic will melt increasing the deepness of the ocean. As the ocean get deeper island will sink. In the website of NASA and other scientific website said that NYC, and Florida will disappear underwater in less than 100 years. So yes the weather and storms will get worse. Don't despair, over here in swinging London the temperature's suddenly dropped back to something normal for midsummer. You can tell the heatwave is over (for the moment at least) because people are already moaning: "God, this miserable weather!" They don't call us whingeing Poms for nothing.

Meanwhile, drink a lot of water and don't move.
