Chivalry thankful is not dead. Women just need to look harder at who they are bedding down with. Stop sleeping with the jerks and fall in love with the nice men.

I don't believe it's dead. But I think the number of guys who still practice it is in the minority. At the same, I also believe that some women have made it NOT worth while to be chivalrous. I still open doors for women, let them in the elevator first (or out), even letting them in front of me in traffic. But MOST (that's right...MOST) don't even say "thankyou". Not even an acknowledgement. ie. doesn't even look at you, just keeps walking.
I for one prefer the courting thing, get to know the other person. And hopefully even fall in love at some point (if it was meant to be). Unfortunately, I find, women say one thing, but mean something else later on. And the classic "nothing" answer, when you ask them what is wrong. When you both know something is wrong.
It's a 2 way street, and in my experience far too many women are take, take, take. Not all women, but more than is acceptable. And yes, alot of guys are in it just for the lay.
As the good book says, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Just because you had a bad experience with some people (guys and girls), doesn't mean you should feel the need to treat ALL poorly.

It's not dead but its on a hospital bed on life support. Men are capable of falling in love its that usually we just give up and settle when we hit a certain age. I really want to find my true love before that happens. Better to have loved and lost then the other alternative

Mr. Chivalry says, "Chivalry isn't dead. There just aren't enough chivalrous men in the world. The "gentlemanly" generation is dying, and is being replaced by a breed that is far too influenced by the demeaning, degrading and immoral views of today's society."
Mr. Chivalry has spoken.

TOTALLY (listen to the somng Promiscious Girl-- Nelly Furtado + )
Men are all about competition and sex, no one cares about the small things that make relationships worthwhile--- opening the door for ladies, saying nice comments, helping out around the house, making fun dates...
However, I think men ARE capable of falling in love and pleasing a girl emotionally.
Some are very sweet and sentimental.
Good luck!

It's slowly dying out. My husband and I "courted" for several months prior to being intimate. It was wonderful. I wish that couples could do this, so that they get to know one another. Because of this, my husband and I have a friendship that would outlast our marriage if we ended it. I know that men are capable of doing this...they just have to meet the right woman.

Just as we women are all different, men are different, too. Some men will want to "court" you, and others are really not interested in a relationship, just sex.
What's best is to go slow, get to know a guy, and see what kind of friend he is. That's just my opinion, though.
Do what is best for YOU!

No it's not dead. There are some still around who will be mannerable towards woman, want to court them and not have anything else in mind right away.

No, definitely not. It's just hard to find. So many women want to sleep around and the men take it for granted they don't have to offer marriage when they're getting sex anyway.
