Okay so an ant is crossing from one side of a table to the other, it gets halfway and then keeps going and it covers half of the half it had left, and then it covers half of the distance it covered again. If it keeps covering half of everything, how does it get to the end? Technically, it never would since you have to complete half of something to get to the end anyway.. anyone have an explain? Sorry if you dont get it.. its kind of hard to explain..

I'll explain it. It has to do with the size of one stride or step by an ant.
Those halfs keep getting smaller and smaller, until they are smaller than the stride of the ant, and the ant just steps over several at once to reach the end.

Now apply the half and half again logic to a pencil dropped on the floor. Does it ever hit the floor?

Theoretically, the ant will never make it to the end of the table. However, in real life, the steps the ant would have to take at the end would be infinitesimally small. The ant would fail in its efforts to travel half the distance and, in fact, reach the end.

well no matter how much you cut something in half you will never reach zero so technically the ant will never get to the other side doing that but since he'll run out of room he will eventually make it to the other side check ya later ♥

I saw something like that on this awesome chick flick once- I think it's called IQ- it's about Albert Einstein's niece. And no, it's not hard to get- I get it. You know that if you keep cutting it in half, there is an infinite amount of times you can do it. But eventually, the halves would be smaller than the an't legs, so he couldn't do it and INFINITE amount of times.
