Use a flat iron. It will make it straight and sleek.

I have curly hair and have for years and years. I used to fight it and straighten it every day but now I do it only every once in a while for special occasions or let the salon do it. It's a lot of work and it wrecks your hair.

If you are determined to straighten it, invest in a good hair dryer with an attachment that will concentrate the air, a big round brush, a good quality CERAMIC flat iron and lots of clips because you will want to blow dry it and flat iron it in sections and clips will keep the rest of it out of the way. Also, go to a salon and have them show you how to do it the first time and recommend some good products that will protect your hair from all the damage you'll do to it.

But why bother? Most people would kill to have your problem and curly hair is very stylish right now? Why not go with what you have and learn to style it curly?

It depends on how long you want it straight for. If you want to be able to go back to curly at any time, you want to flat iron it (be sure to use a straightening spray with it). A ceramic iron works best, but it is expensive. If you want long-term results, I would recommend chemical straightening. I have also recently heard of a Japanese technique that straightens hair without chemicals, but I know very little about it.

However, I would like to comment that I find curly hair very beautiful. I have spent 25 years of my life straightening my very curly hair, and have recently stopped fighting nature. My hair has never looked better, and I get so many compliments on it. Good luck to you.

Dont get a wet/dry straightner... no offense but those KILL your hair. Trust me! There's no way. Another tip is to use ceramic flat irons and not metal, those break your hair. Trust me, i have the curliest hair on the face of the planet! What i did was get sewn in extensions. They're straight and leave less for me to flat iron. Plus, chemical relaxers kill your hair. DO NOT learn that the hard way! Look up ways to straighten your hair like a pro, then you'll be all set.

It's funny, everyone wants what they don't have. You have curly hair, and want it to be straight. Those with straight hair, want curly. I think it's very interesting.

I for one, am one of the girls with "wavy" hair. It's straight on top, but is wavy half way down. I absolutely despise it. So...I use a straight iron everyday. Or...if I am in a hurry, I will use Fruictesse Curly Spray Gel and make it extremely curly.

My advice for you...get a straight iron to straighten your hair, but be very careful on over doing it. You want to make sure that you are still taking good care of your hair with moisturizers.

Good luck!

well i have frizzy hair and i know how it is. i have an amazing straightener from Con air and it was only like 16 bucks!

DO NOT straighten your hair if its wet or even damp, it will hurt the straightener and kill your hair! i made that mistake and had to cut of like 2 or 3'' of my hair.

mack sure to put a leave-conditioner that will strengthen your hair or a stranding shampoo, i use that ausy and it work great! you also may need a frizz control spray cause it may break your hair
good luck

Try a having you hair thermally straightened. Its about 800 dollars at a salon, but you can buy the kit and have a friend help yourself at home. I found kits for sale on ebay. Its really easy and it actually makes your hair healthier.

why do ppl w/ straight hair want curly hair and ppl w/ curly hair want straight hair. O_o i dont get it!! you could get your hair chemically straitghtened, but my friend did that and it wasnt very healthy for her hiar.. she had a lot of problems w/ dead ends and things after that... so i would recommend not fighting your curls, but to embrace them.. besides, body is in... :)
