There are anti-coagulent chemicals in their saliva. Possibly.

Apparently so.The saliva contains a anti-coagulant.That thins the blood. As most headaches are caused but the wrong blood viscosity (too thick)It means that the thinning of the blood causes a decrease in pressure in the brain.A very good cal-mag supplement, for some reason, also does that.It is for this reason that whenever I get a headache I pop three of my wife`s cal-mag tablets.Leeches don`t look so good to other people when you walk down the street, even if they are your pets and meds.

Hmm..I'm not sure if leeches cure headaches..but leeches are good for sucking out all the bad blood from your system making you healthier.

Leeches are/were used to withdraw blood clots.

I never heard of curing headaches with them.

Nope! A headache can be caused by a number of things including low blood pressure, high blood pressure, dehydration, infections, cancer, and various other things.

Leaches suck blood. But even if your headache was caused by high blood pressure, the leach would never suck enough to help, and if it did, you would die.

Stick to asprin.
