Frankly I am in a long-term relationship...I'm not interested in their men. I'm unlikely to ever meet them anyway seeing as I'm only posting here on YA...what's the deal?

Reply to ThePeskyWabbit:
homosexuality is a normal human variation like height or IQ, to me homosexuality is a great deal more attractive than heterosexuality.

Why "try" to be rude when you can just go ahead and "be" rude as you just were?

okay, well first off, why would we see you as competition? it's not like you're going to enter a relationship with straight guys, right? so why would we feel romantically threatened by guys who say they are gay?
as to Christian's attitudes towards homosexuality:
Leviticus 18:22 "You shall not lie with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination"
this is one of many verses in which God says homosexuality is a sin. it is no worse than any other sin, for all sin is the same in God's eyes, but neither is it a physical or genetic trait like height or gender or eye color.
God would never condemn someone for having blue eyes, or being born without an arm--he would not condemn ppl for homosexual acts if they were "born that way," b/c that would mean he would have had to create them that way, so why would he condemn them?
Christians believe homosexuality is a lifestyle choice, a string of sinful actions, just plain sin. that is probably why you have encountered ppl who are hateful to you b/c you say you are gay.
i don't think that that is right. i am just as much a sinner as you. the only difference is that i recognize the sin in my life and try to purge it. i don't hate people who say they are homosexual or participate in homosexual acts--i even have a couple friends who say they are gay-- i hate the acts, the sin itself. we are taught that that sin is a vile thing, although no worse than any other sin.
i'm not going to try to convince you that you weren't born the way you are, but i hope this cleared up some of your confusion.

Well, they should not be rude you or anyone. That's not Christ-like. However, the homosexual act is vile and unnatural. It is a sin against God and a sin against nature and that is why is disgusts people. I have had many gay men friends. They are some of the nicest people I have ever met. I love them and pray that they may see the Truth.

The deal is that people cannot live their lives without messing with everyone else's. I don't know why, but it is always everyone's job what you do and whom you sleep with.
It is not Christianity that makes people bad and intollerant, it is lack of proper education and up-bringing!
P.S.: To you religious guys, who know what is sin and what is not sin (by God's ??? word):
We are in the 21st century! Come on! Can't you stop believing in fairy tales? Santa, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Rabbit and God do not exist!!!
Homosexuals were around even before your Jesus came around!!! Ancient Greece, remember? Why do you think that everyone else is wrong and only you are right??? Have you evolved more than the rest of the people in the world? Do you have bigger brains or something???
To those who say "It is unnatural" - check out the link bellow.
"This list includes animals for which there is documented evidence of homosexual or transgender behavior of one or more of the following kinds: sex, courtship, affection, pair bonding, or parenting.
There are currently 478 different species on this list."
478 different species!!! Why do you think it is UNNATURAL, when it is soooo common in Nature???

They might find the relationship disgusting. You may interpret that as vile.
Homosexuality seems disgusting to me!
If it were a natural variation, than you should be able to procreate. However, more and more % of the population are becoming gay. how can this occur naturally. people use statistical science to justify their actions but hmosexuallity is not natural !!!

Some people who claim to be Christian are not. While I believe that you are living in sin, and I cannot condone your lifestyle choice (I'm NOT trying to be rude), I will still treat you with the respect that any human deserves. I would not talk down to you, or be judgemental of you. I would treat you kindly. It is God's place alone to judge, and anyone who treats you poorly because of your sexual orientation is not a true Chrsitian.
I think also that some people are just simply very uncomfortable with your lifestyle and they may find it difficult to interact with you. Please try to be patient with these latter people, as they are not purposefully trying to be rude, but they just simply don't know how to deal with it.

Who Me?
For now no gay guys has stolen my boyfriend.
For your information I don't hate gay people nor I am homophobic.
I had gay friends in the past.
You clearly hate all Christians because homosexuality isn't acceptable to most of us but I think you are stereotyping and excluding all Christians from your life before getting to know them.
Christians don't hate gay people, they dislike their sin.
You should leave your comfort zone and meet people in the real life different from you.
Hate is a waste of time. Keep hating people that you are going to get a cancer.

The allegedly christian women are former hussies and are very likely in recovery for substance abuse.
Prior to receiving salvation, they used to go dancing in the gay bars and had fantasies about have 2 or 3 of you at the same time.
Now that they are living a restricted lifestyle, their bitterness about missing out causes them to reject anything they can't participate in.

I don't understand why being straight has become such a "Christian" virtue... those laws are written way back in the Old Testament, along with laws like locking away women on the rag, and selling your children into slavery.
Jesus came to say, "Forget all that nonsense, just love thy neighbor and be nice to people for a change."

I imagine it's the same reason Lots daughters would have found being around the homosexuals who were trying to rape the two angels who came to their house.
Homosexuality is a perversion and a sin. Not all that attractive, would you say?

well, i don't consider myself vile toward gay guys, but i may be able to shed some light here
women are either wanting you to be 'straight' because they think they would stand a chance, were you not gay
or they dislike the idea that you act more feminine than them
