Oh, I was going to say ramen noodles. I lived in an apartment and there are several ways to survive. We ate a lot of buttered toast and hotdogs. The toast we made over a hot plate on a bent coat hanger. The hotdogs were cooked using two forks, a length of electrical cord and a plug. Just wrap the bare ends aof a plug wire around two separate forks, push the fork prongs itno either ends of a hotdog, hang the cord on a nail and plug in the end. In less then a minute you have a fully cooked hotdog. Be careful not to get electrocuted, like unplug the cord before touching the hotdog (duh)

Perhaps you have more utensils at your disposal then we did. All I mentioned is all we had.

I'm not exactly sure what your dorm is equipped with. If you have a hot plate you can do quite a few things. Quick stuff like burgers, grilled cheeses, stir fry dishes etc. Assuming you don't have a hot plate I'd say you can buy cold cuts, breads, and make sandwiches. Or you can make a salad or something as well. I have a dorm fridge and it does carry quite a bit of food for one person so you can store lots of fruits, veggies or whatever. Hopefully that helps.

Well if they allow you to have one of those electric crock pots that slowly cook for several hours, you could go to the supermarket and buy all the ingredients for some kind of stew recipe like beef, chicken, pork, ham or whatever you like. Then throw in the potatoes, carrots, onions, broccoli, cabbage etc. and go study for 3 hours until dinner! Use paper plates and clean up will be easy too. Put a big metal plate under the crock pot to protect the counter from excess heat.

There are a lot of meals that you can make in the microwave anymore. Just go cruising through your grocery store's frozen food aisles and pick what you like, since most of it is microwaveable. Not being able to fix anything decent was one reason I got out of the dorms.

Do you have access to a kitchen?

If so, try to boil some fresh pasta and top it with grated cheese and pesto.

Also, in the only pan you have, cook some fresh veggies with soy sauce. Serve with Uncle Ben's Microwave rice!

Grill yourself a steak and serve with a side dish of potatoes or the leftovers of that veggie sauté you just did...

Whatever you do, don't buy too much stuff. It will stink very easily in that small room!

well if yoy have a mini fridge go buy some deli meat & stuff to make sandwiches with. Easy mac is ok but you'll get sick of that easily. How about microwave meals? I like Healthy Choice meals myself.

When I was in college I had one of those tiny refrigerators. I used to keep fresh veggies and fruit in there along with sandwich items. If that is not appealing to you, try those new all in one rice bowls with veggies. They are not that bad. Either that or find a good restaurant that delivers.
