Although I'm not in Scotland, I would recommend that you consider ultralase as they did a great job fixing my short sight (-6.25 & -6.5) & astigmatism with a LASEK procedure. (I have thin corneas)
For other ideas and companies doing this try the lasik-eyes clinics list. also look at the reviews list.
My only word of advice would be to go to a reputable company - they may be more expensive than a smaller co but this is your eyesight, and spending an extra thousand pounds now could get your eyes that little bit better, that that will last your lifetime.
My surgeon was Vinod Gupta - a charming, professional surgeon with an enviable record of success - I'm pleased I spent my money where I did.

As far as I know there is a clinic in Glasgow and maybe Edinburgh.. I get emails from ultralase I think they have one in Glasgow. Have a look on google or another search thingy. My mum had it done last year and she said it was the best money she had ever spent..... good luck.
