She's 5! The last thing she needs is straightened, damaged hair at her age. I'm sure it's beautiful. Let her grow up a little!

I really don't think you should straighten her hair until she's like maybe 10, because it might become even more dry. You should use a shampoo and conditioner that will make it smooth and silky and her waviness will turn into beautiful wavy curls, but she's probably still beautiful with her hair now?

She is a bit young, but you could. Save it for when it gets cooler outside... you can use the Maxiglide straightener- it works wonders. Also, make sure her hair is clean, damp and apply a small amount of thermal conditioner like loreal starightening lotion before you use the iron.
A 5 yr old will sweat it out instantly and you will have wasted all that time getting her hair straight.

I wouldn't straighten her hair at such a young age it will only damage it. If it is dry use silk therapy it does wonders!

the older she gets the more likely her hair will straiten out but for now ONLY STRAIGHTEN WHEN NEEDED like for a very special occasion any brand is good talk to your hair dresser!

i was 12 b4 i concedered a straitener and yes my hair is very very curly and yes i do striten it and i' 13!! so a 5 year old or 13 8 years she shoudl wait at least 11 years old she shoudl b able to straiten her hair! she sounds spoiled just to let ytou know

Well when I got my hair straightened young my hair got damaged and messsed up. Probably not if her hair is sensitive to damage.

i flat ironed my 8 year niece's hair then felt terrible after the fact. she loved it but even with her being 8, i felt she was too young.
