Well the easiest but most boring is cocktail wienies in a crock pot with BBQ sauce over them. A bit more original is sweet and sour meatballs: Buy prepackaged frozen meatballs, put them in your crock. In the meantime heat up a small jar of grape jelly and a jar of chili sauce on the stove, add a dash of worchestier sauce and a bit of lemon juice, dump over the meatballs when the sauce is mixed and heated.

Here's a simple, and delicious appetizer:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 red onion - minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 Baguette sliced into 1/4" rounds
Mix first four ingredients together. Spread onto rounds and broil in toaster oven or oven until golden brown and bubbling on top. It's fun to finish the cooking at your friend's house to let them enjoy the great aroma and eat em while they're hot.

Mini stuffed peppers:
To make stuffing combine 2 eggs with three cups of bread crumbs and 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese. Flavor with garlic and onion powder to taste. Then find mini sweet peppers ate your local grocery store. Fill each pepper (after you clean them out) with the stuffing mixture using a pastry bag. Bake at 400 for about 20 minutes
Coconut Shrimp:
Dip shrimp in flour, then one beaten egg, and then a mixture of coconut and plain bread crumbs (about 50/50) Fry for just a few minutes per side. As a side dipping sauce use orange marmalade flavored with rum.
Mexican Quick and Easy Cheesey Dip
In a small baking pan coat the entire bottom of the pan with a thin layer of cream cheese, and then alternate layers of shreded chedder cheese and salsa, making sure to end with one thick layer of cheese. Broil for about 10 minutes til everything is good and melted, toping off with slices of black olives and diced tomatoes. Serve with chips for dipping.
Hope some of these ideas help. . .If all else fails a great party food is something simple, like a cheese platter, or a vegetable tray. If you have ever seen the show on FoodTV called Party Line With The Hearty Boys they have GREAT ideas for all sorts of parties, check them out on foodtv.com!!!

Guacamole Dip
A dozen avocados. Mash six and dice six. They make a nice textural contrast. Place in large bowl.
Squeeze the juice from a whole lime over the avocados but do not mix them up yet.
Salt the avocados generously and sprinkle a dash of black pepper (or use red pepepr if you like spicy guacamole) over all.
Finely dice one medium sized red onion and one medium sized red pepper and add to avacodos
Add one large can of drained diced green chili peppers.
Add one cup of sour cream or once cup of cream cheese. If you use cream cheese be sure to beat it up until it is soft before adding it to the bowl. This will make for a thick dip. If you prefer a thinner dip add an additional cup of sour cream or cream cheese.
Fold all these ingredients together and chill for at least an hour.
Salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle hot sauce over the top and garnish with cilantro.
This takes about ten minutes and serves about twenty or thirty people.

This is a good one that takes no time at all. All you need is one can of chili with no beans, one package of cream cheese, a bag of shredded Mexican cheese by Kraft and a bag of tortilla chips. Spread the cream cheese in the bottom of a 9x9 glass dish, add chili, sprinkle cheese on top. You can also add green onions to top if you like, but I find some people don't like them. Pop in microwave when you get to the party and serve with chips. If you need a larger serving, just double the recipe. Have fun at your party.

You can always take the little cocktail weiners and wrap them in a triangle of prepared dough and bake them. They are really tasty with different dips..If you want something with fruit..you can get watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes and strawberries and make a easy dip from an 8oz pk of cream cheese, a box of strawberry jello mix and a jar of the Marshmallow creme. Don't add anything to the jello..just pour it into a bowl with rest of ingredients and mix. Have fun at the party...
