I have been to 12 different countries and the most exotic...hmmm...a tough one...I don't go to church, my church is one on ones with people being cool and understanding each other. I would have to say hanging out in a rastafarian club in senegal listening to reggae music with some locals just feeling the beats...I don't dance but that night i was dancing ;)

Some 40 years ago I went to a Billy Graham crusade here in town. When Mr. Graham asked the people to come down and stand before the podium and give their hearts to Christ. The bleachers emptied by the thousands as the people answered the call. To me that was really moving, but not exotic.

I've never been to any exotic services, but I did see a video of a whirling dervish ceremony.

I've been to a Qur'anic study, but there was nothing exotic about it. I'm a Baha'i, and our worship service, which is called Feast, isn't anything exotic either. No bells or whistles, no chanting, no convulsions and no snakes, lol. Usually it's pretty serene.

I saw Christians fall into hysteria, fits of laughter and mindless utterings of a gibberish non-language while "slain in the spirit." At times they would fall to the floor and convulse like seizure patients, and other folks would simply faint. Granted, this doesn't encompass all of Christianity -- only the charismatic branches -- but seeing it in person was a fairly "exotic" experience.

I went to a Samhein (pagan) ritual a few years back. Not necessarily exotic, but it was a new one on me. I enjoyed it, and found it to be a beautiful way to express the love of nature.

I've been attending an Orthodox church lately. The services there are fairly exotic compared with Baptist services.

I went to this ceremony where they drank human blood and ate human flesh...

... at least that's what they claimed. I didn't partake, as I'm not a cannibal.

I think the ceremony was called a "Christian Mass"
