I saw this gal just walking along and unwrapping a candy bar. She just let go of the wrapper and let it fly off into the air and kept walking and eating that candy. That just disgusted me!

I hate that sort of thing... As residents of this planet, I think that we all have a responsibility to leave it better than we found it. Whenever I go anywhere, a park, a beach, or wherever, I make a point to pick up litter in the immediate area and leave it better than I found it...
We should all do that - pick up litter wherever we can and recycle as many things as are recyclable. In these politically correct times, I would also like it if we all became a little more INTOLERANT of people who litter so that it became expected of everyone not to litter. I wish that anti-littering laws were enforced more strigently - you see the signs posted everywhere, but I never see anyone getting busted for it... make them pay those $500 fines and I think that they will be more careful about littering in the future...

I used to throw cigarette butts out the car window occasionally,but I don't do that anymore.I feel so guilty about that.I littered more when I was little,but I realised it was wrong and griped at my mom for doing it.I guess I didn't think about how throwing out the cigarettes was just as bad as wrappers and such.To make a short story long,not anymore.

No I don't. What really annoys me is when someone leaves an empty drink can on a wall when there's a bin about 4 feet away.
I also hate the way people just flick cigarette butts on the ground, they don't even look what they're doing and often end up hitting people with them.

I saw four young kids riding around in a piece-of-junk car, then throw soda pop cans and beer cans out of the car's windows on to a shopping center parking lot. If I could have caught up with the, (I was on foot), I would have personally made them get out of their car and pick up their trash. I loathe litterers. -RKO-

No and I get ticked off too. I really get ticked when they litter by
a garbage can instead of just throwing it into the trash.

no! i can't stand that. i just hate on windy days when trash gets in my back yard over my 6 ft privacy fence. i think the thing that is littered the most is plastic walmart bags.

Nope, I don't litter. If there is no wastebasket visible, it goes in my purse or my pocket. I am disgusted by smokers who throw their cigarettes down or out their car windows.

I agree with you, it is disgusting.
People that empty their car ashtray in a public parking lot. DISGUSTING.
I never litter anything... ever. Nothing. It all goes home with me.

By law the only thing you can throw out of your car or anywhere is water and bodily fluids, like vomit; but please, everyone has littered one way or another. On purpose or by accident. No one is a saint. Get over yourselves!!!!
