President Bush's wife was touring a hospital.
While walking down the hall on the first floor she looked into a room and saw a man masturbating.
The nurse said it was OK he needs to do that or his balls will explode.
When walking down the hall on the sixth floor she looked into another room and saw a man receiving fellatio from a nurse.
She was very upset and asked what was going on in there,
The nurse explained it was the same problem as on the first floor he just had better health care coverage.

Well, look at it like this:
You asked from a Christian perspective, and the best place to get Christian answers is from the Bible.
Jesus first said that if a man looks at a woman with lust for her, then he is already guilty of adultery in his heart.
I think the bigger principle applies to ANY body who has lust.
THEN, in the very next breath, Jesus said "If your eye offends you, cut it out." ... "If your right hand offends you, cut it off."
How does lusting after a woman, what you are looking at, and what you are doing with your hand all have in common? I think that for guys, it refers to pornography and masterbation.
I think, also, that the general principle applies to girls, as well. Masterbation has to do with sex. While sex, in itself, is NOT wrong, sex outside of marriage is a sin, and it can be traced back to only one thing - lust.
Lust is tantamount to adultery; and what you do about it (i.e. masterbate) can send a person to hell. Why do I say that? Well, Jesus concluded by saying that "It is better to enter into life maimed, then enter hell whole", for both the eye, and also the hand - in both cases. So, if you look at a person with lust, it is better to cut your eyes out. If you DO something about it while looking and lusting, it would be better to cut your hands off.
To make a long answer short, yes.

yes, it is. i was just reading about this the other day, in "Every Young Woman's Battle." you should read it.
basically, the two main reasons are that
1) usually a girl connects the action with a man in her mind, and that is "committing adultery in your heart," as the Bible puts it. obviously, this is wrong.
2) if you continue to do this, it could make you dissatisfied and unhappy with your sex life in marriage if your husband can't figure out how to do things just the way you do.
our bodies are NOT our own. First they are God's, and second they are our spouse's, if we are meant to get married. pray that God will remove this temptation from you, and don't give in to it!

For a christian, no. I don't see why you can't masturbate. Life is full of many pleasures and this is surely one that can not be left unexplored. Live your life to the fullest.

It's wrong for a Catholic girl to do it. You're not supposed to have "impure" thoughts.
