This should be Question 27, but I'm done with that.

They used to measure things with the length of their hand, outstretched arms, noselengths, and distances walked, for Christ's sake. Would it not be possible that the only reason the Bible sounds so unbelievable is because the understanding of certain complex concepts was not present with Humanity back in the days of Moses? Once upon a time, Europeans thought the Earth was flat and if you didn't sail off the map, a Serpent would eat you. That may as well had been the case, because no navy was strong enough or had the support necessary to sail around the world or even to North America all the way from Europe. Now, they know that the Earth is round and they have stopped killing anyone that says otherwise.

So, in conclusion, do you think that the Bible would be worded differently if it were written by a person that knows what a corporation is, or do you think IT would read like the script to "Star Wars 7", too.

I definitely think the bible would read differently if the writers had a grasp on modern science. They were being blessed with insights that were overwhelming; it would have helped to have a constant frame of reference. It would also be easier to translate if more of them could have spoken openly and not in protective code. I've often wondered about just what Revelation is trying to describe... it's too bad more weren't artists as well.

Absolutley. There are many instances where a prophet would describe what he saw in vision using the best things he could compare it to. If you've never seen a rocket flying through the air wouldn't you describe it as some type of local bird or a flying dragon or something that you did know about?
That being said, I don't think it would change the truths contained in that book of scripture, because the Bible (as others have pointed out) was written by man, but inspired by God - originally, before misinterpretations entered into it.

No.

ATHEISTS:
What does God call them? Preach love to them? Lets see what God says, to do with them.

You have unbeliever's, Chaff, Scoffers.

An Atheist is a "scoffer". The WORD of God, clearly tells, ATHEISTS are filhty rags they are, and to stay away from them, and avoid them. We are NOT to plant seeds. God knows it is useless and that is why he tells us, "You stand firm against them" ( Jer.17:8 14:1 Iah 44:4) You disassociate them completely. Any Believer that does not abide in God's own Word, does not know God, according to God Himself.
Atheists are "chaff" A simile of the wretchedness of the wicked. Chaff is carried away by the lightest wind, and it's removal brings about cleansing by extracting what is utterly useless. (Ruth 1:22). They will NOT stand in the judgment. They will NOT be able to withstand God's wrath when He judges.( Pslams 76:7 Exra 9:15). This is not my opinion, this is God's very own Words, in the Bible. You know, the BIble? The same Bible atheist scholars quote. There is a reason God, said this. Psalms.1.1-3 Jer. 17:8 14:1 12. 1-2 18:9-10 Prov1.10-19 (vs 5) scoffers:(atheists) those who ridicule God and definatley reject His Law. Prov 1.:22 Ruth 1:22 Jer 18:7 (pull down-destroy) 1:10 (evil-calamity) 18:11

Pslams 1:
godly wisdom here, declare the final outcome of the two "ways". The paths of "sinners" (unbelievers) and the "way of the righteous. he speaks progressively of assoociation with the ungodly and participation in they're ungodly ways.

God said it. End of Story. Jesus Himself said "Let the dead bury they're dead".

Use all the Internet and Dictionaries they want to and call themselves anything they wish. God "defined" what they are by His own Holy Word.

They can hang a dog tag* around they're neck in the pits if hell itself and separate each other by name categorically.

God's Word said it. By God's definition. They are nothing but filthy rags. There is NO opinion.

Hate? Where do you get hate? If God's TRUTH is hate too you, then, so be it. You and God, can and will discuss the means of your scriptural interpretation, consisting with a man-made defacto on a motion of plea bargin I guess. I dunno.

Yes the bible probably would have been worded differently. The language used would have been more contemporary and it would include what is common scientific knowledge today. The message would not be any different though...that's what is important. The Bible was written using wordage and beliefs which were common for its day there is no way anyone could argue that it was not, but that does not make its message false or in any way different from what we understand today.

The bible is very much a product of the ages it was written in,
so yes, if you change the age, you change the bible coming out
of it.

That there may be divine inspiration aside, it was written
on papyrus, primative papers, etc, with primative tools by
people who didn't have the Internet. It is possible to
tell within decades of when pieces of it were written by
how things were spelled and other events it refers to.

The Bible is not God's Blog.

No!...the Bible wouldn't have been worded differently if science was back then advanced as it is now!.....why?....Because Science Is Not GOD! (Spiritually---You unbelievers & doubtful generation of people must understand that GOD IS GOD....THE CREATOR (Which Is GOD) KNOWS MORE & AND IS MORE ADVANCED THAN MAN-KIND)......Allways was, And Allways Will Be!....(Hebrews 13: 8), (Malachi 3: 6)......GOD's Plan Is, Was, And Allways Will Be, In Manifestation, Whether man-Kind understands or agrees with it or not!......

Well of course everything you say is perfectly logical. Especially when you consider that the book was written by men at that time.

It's just that a lot of people have this idea that God (who presumably should have known better) had a hand in its writing.

Bible was a word of God. later, people amended it and added a lot of things of their own. So things that are amended by people might have worded differently but not the words of God as God also invented the science along with this whole universe.

That's why the bible was written, to combine life lessons with worldly knowledge, for those that cannot read.

Since we have a larger understanding of our universe, we wouldn't need a bible.
