No all dogs do it. Just make sure there are no pesticides on the grass he is eating. When they eat grass they are using it to clean out there stomach. Maybe because of something they ate or just to help them feel healthier. Sometimes they will throw up afterwards from eating to much or to clean there stomach further. But do not let them eat the vomit which some dogs will try to do. They do it because there ancestors the wolfs did it. Whenever the mother wolf would come back from the hunt she would throw up the food and feed it to her pups. So it is a natural habit.

actually grass helps dogs digest their food better or even act as a purgative if they feel sick. For example, if they eat something that doesn't agree with their stomach, dogs will naturally eat grass to calm it down; animals have been doing this for centuries...it's perfectly natural. Just be sure not to use any poison or chemicals on the lawn or grass your dog feeds on or it may be bad for him, other than that just let him go ahead and eat it, he'll be fine...

It won't make him SICK per se, but it could cause him to throw up (it does that for cats). Don't worry though. It's a vitamin/ mineral issue. Dogs need vegetables too! ^_^ Cats eat grass when they need assistance passing a hair ball, which is why I think it MIGHT make him throw up. But he's not a cat. Grass is fiber! It's a leafy green vegetable! Yay!

Basically, don't worry. Grass on.

If your dog likes to eat weeds, you should be careful about what kind of weeds he's eating, since some plants can be very harmful to dogs. And grass won't make your dog seriously sick, but it might make him throw up. So you should probably discourage his habit of eating it.

Dogs do eat grass when they have digestive problems or heartburn. It helps them regurgitate. They also eat it for roughage. Some dogs eat grass when they are completely healthy (perhaps the grass is one reason for their good health)

I have had dogs who picked at grass from time to time and then I have had dogs that grazed like cows. Two dogs in particular who grazed like that were two of the healthiest dogs I have ever had.

No most of them do this...There have been a
number of studies done trying to link grass eating with illness, vitamin
or mineral deficiencies, lack of roughage in the diet and other things ---
all without producing a strong correlation to any particular problem

My dog also likes to eat grass. Sometimes she gets sick, sometimes not. As for your dog, I don't know. It may depend on your dog's constitution, and the grass as well. Your best bet would be to check with your vet.
