Because the best free things don't come easy. They may not be free in monetary terms, but you do have to work for them (for example: happiness and love) and you have to work hard to keep them.

Money buys comfort, not fulfilment.
You cant buy being truly loved. You cant buy the special moments that come in raising children.
The things that fill the heart are not for sale. Bill Gates cant buy an employee that he can trust and respect.
Its not a statement that has the emphasis on free. You get what you pay for. Its a statement that has the emphasis on being unable to be purchased with money.
If your hands are full and your heart is empty, you have nothing. If your heart is full and your hands are empty, then you have everything. Make the choices in life that lead you to a truly full heart even if it costs you full hands. Its the only treasure you can take with you when you die, its the only treasure you can truly keep.

happiness is a state of mind and attitude. it's all about how bad you want it and what you're willing to sacrifice to get it. whatever that may be of course. there are plenty of people out there with money and lovers and materials, however, they still aren't happy. figure out what it is that you want in this life and make an effort. you have to crawl before you walk, you know? good luck....

The best things in life ARE free. No money involved. But really, nothing in life is free...if u don't pay for it in money, u pay for it in time, emotion, physical labor, etc.
