Yeah, I usually look for the door marked "Janitor's Closet"
and do my business in there , there is most always a
Play Boy magazine in there to pass the time ,,,

I think the term gentlemen used to be used because fancy restaurants would not allow people who were informally dressed to dine there or use the bathroom, and now the term has been applied to other restrooms. Nicer places use the term because they think it sounds better or more professional than simple men. Also it makes it harder to misread and easier to distinguish between men and women, if one restroom has gentlemen and the other has ladies the difference of the signs is very clear.

Your right not all men are gentlemen, unfortunately, so i think they should make one bathroom for gentlemen and non gentlemen.

With signs like that society is simply 'inviting' all the men to act like gentelmens and to be gentelmens. Unfortunatly, not many follow the path.
Did I just overthink the whole thing...lol.

Yeah, You have a point there. They should have one restroom labeled "dirty dogs" and the other "gents" and for girls they should have "ladies" and "bitches" LOL
