I live in Worthing, I am not sure about any smaller areas around you area but I ride:

Clapham common (NOT LONDON! - just west of Worthing) (around the back of the counsil built jump course) = Jump, bsx tracks.

Tilgate forest (Nr Crawley) = Short downhill runs, freeride and jump spot.

Queen Elizibeth Country park (Nr Portsmouth) = Great day out for single track, downhill (If you go "off Piste" a bit).

Also try PORC (Penhurst Off Road Club), it is not in West sussex but is def' worth the trip!

Hope to see you soon! I ride a black Norco atomik or a black Cannondale chase

Try going to Lewes at the disused quarry site.
