I have owned both as of right now i only have a dog and she doesnt like cats to wich is why i dont have any cats anymore..lol.
Wich do i prefer? well both can be a pain in one way or another but i really dont prefer one over the other either.
Dogs are great companions and they do some of the funniest things to make a bad day good.
As for cats they dont need the constant attention cause of their independentness and they too do the funniest things to make a bad day good.

Dogs, you have more control. You can teach a dog to come, sit, and stay. Try doing that with a cat. A dog will alert you to anything unusual happening such as strangers or other animals by barking. Walking a dog if he has any size, offers protection. Cats on the other hand are cute and cuddly, but very independent.

I am more of a cat person but I really like dogs.
this book that i read made me really like dogs almost as much as I like cats wich is big! I feel that know I need a dog around me because dogs can smell the differnce in your sweat so they can tell if u have cancer or if u are about to have a heart attack and stuff like that. So it is pretty close but i choose cats!

Dogs all the way! My black lab mix just had 11 puppies 4 weeks ago today and they are THE cutest puppeis in the whole world. I do have a cat too,Chiclet, she had 5 kittens in Jan. and they all went to good homes. I love her too but my dogs are great.

DOGS!!!! i love dogs because they are WAY more playful!! they will cuddle with u all they want too!! dogs are very loyal, and also very smart!! my dog always comforts me if i had a bad day!!! i mean some cats do that but not many. all cats do is eat and sleep!! dogs do Way more!! I LOVE DOGS!!!
