That he had a cute face. I mean looks aren't everything but hell you have to find the other person attractive before you even show interest....ya know!

First think I usually notice is actually a sense I pick up by looking at her face, whether we'd be compatible. It is judmental. Second I look at the attitude to see if she's uptight., full of herself or whatever. Then I listen to hear what seems to interest her.
But it might help to know that as guys look at women as potential dates, they are also making sure she's NOT some stuff, like not fat or whatever.
Sometimes I am separating friend from date prospect. Like if she has ultra energy, she gets into the friend category cuz she'd drive me nuts, same if she talks alot.
