The following is the official way to fold the Ohio state flag.
"To enact section 5.014 of the Revised Code to establish a
recommended procedure for folding the state flag."

"...
Sec. 5.014. The general assembly hereby establishes a recommended procedure for the folding of the state flag by two people. The procedure is as follows:
With the flag unfolded, fold the flag in half lengthwise so that the points of the flag are aligned. Fold the flag in half lengthwise a second time to form a long strip with the red disc facing the ground. Next, fold the pointed end back onto itself to form a rectangle. These steps entail three folds.
Starting on the end formed by the fold of the pointed end back onto itself, fold two inches of the flag onto itself for a flag with a three-foot hoist and a five-foot fly, or another appropriate width of fold for a flag of a different size. Repeat the folds a total of fourteen times, alternating the folds in a fan-like manner.
The result is a total of seventeen folds symbolizing that Ohio was the seventeenth state admitted to the union. Finally, neatly and snugly wrap the remaining length of flag around the fan-folds to form a compact rectangle.

In my school our color guard folded all the state flags when the president came to visit.
The Ohio flag has 1902 folds the smae year the flag was adopted. The large blue triangle represents Ohio's hills and valleys, and the stripes represent roads and waterways, this portion should show one the top it folded right.
ince it is the only American state flag that is non-rectangular, and one of only two non-rectangular official jurisdictional flags, at the state level or above, in the world (the other is the flag of Nepal) it has a fold adopted based upon the design of cavalry flags of the Civil War and Spanish-American War, it is technically a burgee.
The seventeen stars symbolize that Ohio was the 17th state admitted to the union. The white circle with its red center not only represents the first letter of the state name, but also its nickname, "the Buckeye State."
Step 1
take the two forward triangle edges and montain fold it inward to the second white stripe of the color.
Step 2
take the inner red stripe and postion it so you can valley fold it with the white.
Step 3
the Hoist (width) of flag, should now be paralle with the blue portion of the union.
Step 4
take the Fly (length) of flag and do two rotation folds inward to the center of the union.
Step 5
the Fly (length) of Union should now have the stars pointing down ward. Note that the flag ratio is not absolutely fixed by law so the floding method will change for different flags.
Step 6
Now it waist-high with another person so that its surface is parallel to the ground.
Step 7
it waist-high with another person so that its surface is parallel to the ground.
Step 8
Fold the flag again lengthwise with the blue field on the outside.
Step 9
If the flag is folded for a Union or American retirement ture it upside down facing the groud (all rebel flags are like that) if for a confederate taps ture it rightside up.
Step 10
Fold the flag again lengthwise with the blue field on the outside.
Step 11
Make a triangular fold by bringing the striped corner of the folded edge to meet the open top edge of the flag. Starting the fold from the left side over to the right
Step 12
Turn the outer end point inward, parallel to the open edge, to form a second triangle.
Step 13
Take the two triangle and paralle fold them into the union field.
Step 14
Turn the outer end point inward, parallel to the open edge, to form a second triangle
Step 15
The triangular folding is continued until the entire length of the flag is folded in this manner.
Step 16
The triangular folding is continued until the entire length of the flag is folded in this manner.
Step 17
take the flag and hold it with both arms
Step18
take two forward march steps and have the colorguard do a right flank.
Step 19
column left and report to commander
Step 20
present arms and retire the flag
Remember this takes pratice, do it in front of a mirror to get it right
It involves nine people to fold the Ohio flag the right way.
NOTE:Flags, when not in use, should be folded into a triangle shape. The final triangle shape result is said to invoke the image of the three-point hats popular during the American Revolutionary War. Former American territories, e.g. the Philippines, also use this method to fold their flags.
To place the flag at half-staff (or half-mast, on ships), hoist it to the peak for an instant and lower it to a position half way between the top and bottom of the staff.

Start with the side with the points. Fold the points in to make a rectangle, then fold in into a triangle the same way you fold an American flag.
