i would say that flirting is what you would most likely do with the opposite sex, this might include touchy-touchy or saying lil remarks that would hint stuff. friendly is just somethin you can do with anyone, this jst means being talketive and things like tht.

Probably a matter of degree. I've seen my wife flirt outrageously and she thought she was just being friendly. If you are so friendly the other person begins to see it as more and wants more, you're flirting. Good question and not sure I answered it.

When you flirt you are letting the person know you find them attractive. When you're friendly you are just being kind to others.

being friendly suggest nothing flirting is very suggestive.(in some ways obvious and some ways subtle)

Flirting has a bit of a sexual connotation.This is tricky,they are very similar.

when you are friendly, you are just being cordial. when you flirt, you are expressing your atttraction to someone.
