I don't like how my Republican party is kissing immigrant butt so they can get more votes. I think the real problem with this is in Mexico and how they don't take care of their citizens. If I were president I would give Mexico $50 Billion to make life better for their citizens so they wouldn't have to come here. Even though I'm against illegal immigration, you have to feel sorry for them and the crap houses they lived in in Mexico.

I don't feel bad for them. If they want a better life, they need to apply to come here legally. Our government has a responsiblity to take care of us, THE CITIZENS, not the people who are using our roadways and getting food stamps and other public services for free. They're stealing from our country. If someone should be paying $50 Billion, it should be Mexico to the American citizens who have taken care of their citizens all these years.

NO, we should send " NO " money to Mexico... Reason being is they are to corrupted, they would take the 50 billion dollars, nd split it among their government leaders , and make some excuse like they are holding the 50 billion, and voting down a pay increase for them selves. The money would not go to the people, the best thing to do is shut the door on them, and make them apply to enter. If they can't get in fast enough then they will need to over through their government. It sounds harsh but it is just natural evelotion of a country.

NOTE: Mexico is not a poor country, it is the 13th riches country in the world. Mexico does not take care of its people because it does not have the funds, it refuses to, because the government leader are cold hearted and corrupted.

You're right, it's a split issue, Mexico desperately needs reform, they still haven't got their new guy in office because there's controversy about the vote, and you're talking about a mighty big elephant when you say Mexican reforms. They've got a laundry list of problems that stump even the experts, and turning some of that stuff around will likely take decades. They'd be miles ahead if they could figure out how to advocate for some volunteerism,
plenty of room for that, I think. Just think if 10,000 mexicans volunteered their time and money to build a hospital. And, another 10,000, and another 10,000, and and and...there's lots n lots of people there, now imagine what'd happen if every american put a dollar in the mail to Mexico to help support it.
That'd be a fair stack of money, and yes, you could build several hospitals with that in Mexico. But, seeing as how Mexico has their own money, now, they're not quite as poor as they might like to portray themselves, remember that foreign aid usually amounts to poor people in rich countries giving money to rich people in poor countries, they could probably drop in as many hospitals and schools as they're really inclined to, the magic ingredient missing there is the inclination. I fully believe that the powers-that-be in Mexico will continue to willingly play the US for every thin dime they can get from us, which is easily half of what this whole debate is about. Not that our politicians etc. are necessarily more honest, just that Mexico's got a worse reputation for all that. You hold the poor starving kid up in front of the camera while the rich people in the limousines drive BEHIND the camera...some deliberate misrepresentation, there. Mexico's corrupt, and until they conduct some serious reform, keep your 50 billion dollars in your pocket. Reform FIRST, then 'help'. Gotta have some standards, here...

i don't think that's a good idea giving Mexico money is making the president rich and Mexican people the same i think the u.s should hire more border patrols and do something now because we are alot of us here and every day more of us come here and have our babies here and those babies become us citizens. I think people should not treat illegal immigrants like thieves we are just people like everybody else looking for a better future and the U.S has the door open they can not say anything because we work here, we do our tax refund with a special number the us give us so that we cant be able to do our tax refund, we get WIC, we are able to buy our own house "The American dream", we can get license plates on our cars with a Mexican i.d we can open bank accounts with a Mexican i.d our kids go to school, NO BODY CAN BLAME ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FOR BEING HERE BECAUSE ALL THOSE ARE EXAMPLES OF THE BENEFITS WE GET JUST BY BEING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND THE U.S GOVERNMENT KNOWS THAT AND THEY ARE NOT DOING ANY THING SO I DON'T SEE WHY SHOULD YOU WORRY ABOUT . IF YOU DO TALK TO BUSH AND TELL HIM TO DO HIS JOB. "TO GET US OUT OF HERE"

It's wrong, it's illegal. But not a crime. I don't approve it, I would love the day when Mexico is better economically and our citizens don't have to eat **** to get bread to their mouths or be treated as second class human beings, I don't like it, and I would be the first one to tell them not to come over here, they don't want us over here, don't expose yourselves to the dangers and to misstreatments, stay in your poor home and work to better your situation. Enough is enough. and ah, eayh, I am Mexican, not illegal immigrant, but a Mexican that suffers for the hand that history has dealt us and the way my people suffers here and there. I dream on the day this will change.

Hey sand man, don't despair....I am a Hispanic who no longer aligns myself with republicans....they are hypocritical and some even racists. I am disgusted how they kiss up to Hispanics but really don't represent them. Its just lip service.

And I agree with you, if US would assist Mexico, but do it in a way that is accountable, because the corruption in Mexico would intercept any aid, then we would all be better off.

I think illegal immigration is bad because it's illegal, but sometimes it's the only choice some people have.

I think living in a country as messed up as USA should be illegal - you could not pay me enough money to work there, I like being slim and healthy.
