Yes, but it takes a very long time! Check the bottom of the can, most have a stamped date on it to tell you how long you can keep it.

Canned tuna is actually steam or water-bath cooked before the can is sealed, so no bacteria should be able to live inside.
The stamped date on the can would indicate how long it can be stored without any health consequences or changes in flavor or nutrition. You can probably keep canned tuna 5 or 10 years in a cool area, longer if refrigerated. But the flavor and nutriutional value will probably decline after 1 or 2 years.
If a can of tuna were opened, it has about 1 week life in the fridge.
Caveat:
If an unopened can has a bulging top, then throw it out - some type of bacteria colony is growing inside, generating waste gases. Not good for you.

My mom always told me, 'when in doubt, toss it.' I would much rather waste a nasty smelling can of tuna by throwing it away than get sick from eating something that I was uncertain about.
Personally, I think that it can go bad.

Yes, in the can it can go bad - I think a year is the shelf life. From the can into the fridge in a container - only a few days unmixed.
