Is it just beacause people wanted to put stuff in order?

Things in lists are always easier to learn than things that are not in lists. And lists that are always in the same order are even easier to learn. No one knows why the first Northwest Semitic alphabet was put in the order it was 3500 years ago, but we English speakers still use nearly the same order for our modern Roman alphabet today.

The alphabet is a code that allows you to communicate with others. In order to function correctly, codes need an organization. The organization is a random act, initially, but once it is established, it cannot be changed without messing it up.
Try this: tell people that M is the first letter of the alphabet. They'll probably call you crazy, because you would be breaking the convention that we've all accepted, which is that A is the first letter of the alphabet.

coz ppl used to put every thing in order to remember it and b standardized

Everything it has an order. if not there will be only chaos
