There are 750 ml in a fifth. Assuming you want 1 oz shots, you have a little more than 25 in the bottle.

i had the same discussion last night,
my buddy a former longtime bartender said 30,
but there's 32 oz in a quart,
and a 'fifth' is 4/5 ths of a quart...(1/5 gallon),
also a 'jigger' is 1 1/2 oz...
what got me started on this was when i saw a movie about the golfing great bobby jones...he grew up in scotland... a girl asked why golf has 18 holes, not 16 or 20 ???
answer was there's 18 'swallows' in a bottle of scotch...
one drink after each hole and when the bottle is empty the game is over... LOL

There are 32 shots to a 750ml but most bars will say 27 shots to allow for spillage or over pour.

12 to 25 shots depending on how big the shot class and how high you pour, and of course any alcohol spillage/abuse.
