Upper respiratory infections are viral and there is no medication for that. Vets sometimes give an antibiotic to preclude the possibility of a secondary bacterial infection.

NEVER, NEVER use any human medication on an animal

Sometimes an old cat is given small amounts of aspirin for arthritis and it must be monitored by a vet as it can be very toxic to their livers.

never give your cat any over the counter medication without first consulting your vet. Take your cat to the vet and get some antibiotics

Kittens need special care...... Over the counter things are not safe for animals, take your kitty to the VET.

(dont forget to spay or neuter!)

call the vet ....at no time should you give a cat human meds.
It could die. There is cat medicine for a cold but you should call the vet and find out good ways of taking care of it ...do you have a humidifier it can't hurt to try that.

Please take your kitten to the Vet...it may be more than a "cold".
He could have distemper, or another very bad disease. Where did you get your kitten? Call them to see if any other littler mate is sick.
