I think I might bake a loaf of bread! I can't believe how fast time goes! It seems like just yesterday was Beltane!

We're having a Lammas festival this weekend. Three days. On Friday we're blessing the sacred space and having a storytelling. On Saturday, we're making solar ovens in which to bake our Lammas bread for our feast and we're making corn husk dolls to decorate our altars. The best one will be kept and used to make the Brid doll for our public Imbolc. Then we'll have our feast. Everyone is bringing something and it'll all be cooked either in our solar ovens or over an open fire. Then we'll have a ritual, followed by drumming and ecstatic dance. Sunday morning we're having a dawn nature walk/plant identification walk and as a finale we're having a naming ceremony for one of our little ones.

If you're in Michigan, you should join us! More info at www.motorcitypagans.net
As for my family, we're spending the afternoon at a farm.

May you harvest many blessings this year!

Gathering for a dinner with some friends in our backyard.

Then drive up to the mountains for an evening-night hike. The kids are really looking forward to the hike. If it weren't so dry we'd have a fire... But the fire danger is through the roof. So we'll share some songs and watch the stars.

Home again home again. Wish our friends goodnight.

Tuck the kiddos into bed.

Have a little quiet ritual time.

Head to bed.

It's still 100 degrees here, it's hard to believe it's already the first harvest!

I'm planning a quiet Ritual in my grove of oak trees, reflecting on the past year and what I've accomplished, and making plans on what to sow for the upcoming year.

I don't bake, but I picked up a loaf of nummy Harvest Bread. =)

My group celebrated this past weekend... but I'm cooking dinner tonight for me and my fiance (which is rare enough to count as a celebration), and then I am going to a coveners house tonight to help her with a Working. So, at least I'm communing with the God/dess tonight!

Happy Lughnasadh to you, too!
