I thought the answer was to get "laid"

There are many answers to why did the chicken cross the road other than that, but they all do come down that the chickens destination is the other side. and under the idea that we are all sopose to have freedom of choice, I quess It can be yes. Even though the chickens intent is to get to the other side there is the why, and god is testing us to see what we are going to do even though he know the final outcome.

if you believe in creationism, the chicken because God created it, then it layed eggs.

if you are an evolutionist, then the answer is: "chicken, because it hatched from a lizard egg."....seriously, look it up.
