i need to know if when you deworm a kitten do they still get worms in their stool after they were dewormed.

the vet dewormed him but he still gets dead worms in his stool is this okay

Yes its NORMAL.... When u or the vet administers the medication and it kills the worms inside the animal .. they have to come out some way. They are not just going to disolve in its body. Watch there stools (as gross as that sounds) and if its still doing it in a few days call and ask the vet how long u should expect to be seeing these.

Sometimes a kitten will need a second round of de-worming treatment. You might want to make a follow-up appointment with your vet. Bring a stool sample. He or she may give you more medicine for the kitten.

It can take a while for them all to die and for her to pass them. Also, any eggs left behind could be in different stages of development, so they may just now be dying from the worming medicine. This is why you need to deworm again in three weeks, because any eggs that did not develop into larva, will not be killed by this first dose. So, another dose is needed to make sure that ever one of the buggers dies

If by "you" you mean you personally and you used an over the counter product from a pet store then, yes, you may not have treated the kitten properly.

Please be safe and let the vet do the job.
