Besides kideny stones. I have had a terrrible pain on the right side of my lower back. I am assuming it is my kidney and not the muscle because I can stretch and bend that muscle and I can feel no pain or stress in that area.

My wife has had several kidney stones pass since we have been married and our new family Dr. sent her for an IVP to see what was going on..(IVP is a fancy term for lots of xrays with dye shot through an IV at different time intervals so they can see the whole system nice and bright) She found out that she has a congenital birth defect called Medullary Sponge Kidney. MSK is the dialation of the tubes that lead from the kidneys to the bladder and there are little pools of urine that can crystalize and make stones... this can affect 1 or both kidneys. She now knows that when she gets that feeling (pain in the low back, sometimes coming in waves, but mostly constant, not sharp like the passing of a stone) she may or may not pass a stone...it could just be the stone moving or a sign that she isn't drinking enough water. An episode can last from a few hours to several days. MKS is a congenital birth defect and does usually show up until a person in thier 20-30's. Contact your Dr.

Al Queada (sp?)
No seriously, You probably need to lay off the sodas and cleanse your body for a while by drinking lots of water. In highschool I
worked at a place where we had free soda and of course I drank a lot of soda and had something similar to your symptom.
It could be more serious, if you have insurance go get it checked out. Theres always social services if you don't make a lot with no insurance.

Kidney stones are main cause of kidney pain. I wonder how you can justify it is kidney pain. I would answer your question better if I knew the symptoms. Read about kidney stones here:

I haven't seen the most common cause, which is caffeine addiction, but that tends to hurt on both sides.
