I've been separated for a couple of years, havn't officially divorced due to insurance issues and am trying the dating thing again except, I get very few replies to my profile. I am totally honest and tell have explained my situation in my profile so there are no surprises for anyone. Am I expecting too much? Does anyone know of any dating sites for people in my situation? Thanks.

When you say honest, are you honest about your cancer? Folks are afraid of disease, rational or not. I would caution you about revealing too much too soon.

May peace be always near you.

Maybe you should omit the part about the cancer till you've met the person and had a little face-to-face time. It may be too much info for a profile.

As shallow as it sounds, I think I would skip over a person's profile if they came right out and said they're a cancer survivor, where as if they told me personally, I would probably be a little shocked but definitely more supportive.

I think no matter what your health situation is, that dating should not be considered unless you are officially divorced. That is just my opinion. If no divorce is something your ex is OK with because they want to help you with insurance did you think that maybe there is still some love there somewhere? It might be an option, something to think about...prayers =)

Wishing you the best of luck, but it will take an exceptionally special person to walk into that situation. First try just looking for a friendship, then maybe it'll grow.

WOWWWW people like you're stressful heavily your getting mad about a pal going out with an ex? first of all its your EX which means not anymore you act like you own him. then you certainly get MAD at your "pal" becuase they prefer one yet another?? your not worth of being pronounced as a "pal" cuz in case you've been you're a fairly shitty pal

Why do you even need to bring up the fact you have cancer? Wait until you get to know someone a bit. Thats scary for anyone to get to close. They are afraid that you are gonna die right after they get close to you. Dont lie to them, just wait until you know them a bit!

If somebody would hold that against you, then they are not worth going out with, anyway.
