For me style goes hand by hand with a terrific picture quality and convenience. Myself the owner of 13-HDTVs {6-Plasmas, 6-LCDs and 1-DLP} design plays an important role in my purchase decision. Just as important as picture quality.

In order to make an HDTV appealing to me and my wallet they most be either entirely Gloss Black, Gloss Black with Silver, Gloss Black with little Matte Black {If the overall set is stylish} or some odd/rare TV color like my Samsung HP-S2352D which is Gloss White. Although a did make an exception with my 65" HP Pavilion MD6580N which is Matte Black, but VERY attractive.

I also have a 23" Sony WEGA in the Kitchen which Silver and match perfectly with the stainless steel appliances. And a 37" Sharp AQUOS in the Dinning Room which match with the Rosewood Dinning Table/Chairs and China Cabinet.

I recently broke my "Gloss Black Only" rule for a second time and got two Panasonic PX600U-Series one in 50" the other 58" and these new sets had Matte Black {Ugly!} masks surrounded by their Silver bezels., I decided to buy them because the picture quality was just amazing.

Before getting them, i'd make sure i was able to "fix" the little Mattle Black problem. So i took an entire hour at Magnolia Hi-Fi checking how i was going to dissamble them and explore how i could remove their masks.

After my investigations and extended research i bought them and I'm now awaiting for the materials to get ready and scratch the original paint, prepared them for the primer and custom paint them in what else, Glossy Black.

There's nothing more elegant and finer than a good flat panel TV on your wall in Gloss Black to match yours home decor., Most HDTVs in Matte Black look too cheap.

First concern is cost , must fit your budget .
Second is does the TV specs fulfil your needs.
Third Is it good value ?
Fourth How long is the warranty ?
Five is set a well known reliable brand.
Last -- see second, If it does then go for it .
