I would have to say it would be a close fight, I never saw Marcel Cerdan fight, except on film.He was a great fighter. He won maybe 113 fights and lost less than 6.He was killed in a plane crash at a young age close to 33 years old.Cerdan beat Tony Zale to win the middleweight title and lost to LaMotta, when his shoulder was injured in the first round against LaMotta, Cerdan finally gave up in that fight in round 10.Cerdan in my opinion would beat Hopkins in a close fight., even though Hopkins defended his middleweight title many times, he would not be able to win over Marcel Cerdan.

Not even a close one this, you would have to say Hopkins by a landslide, sure Cerdan has a pretty record to look at with over a 100 fights and only 4 losses but he never fought for a world title until the very end of his career and Lamotta whooped him and took it off him after 2 defenses that too me is not someone who is in the same class as Hopkins who held his middleweight title for 11 years and won world titles at different weights.
