Hi Dani,,,,,,,,,,
I know just what you are saying,,,,, i have to get shots also.. and have all my life,,,, its awful to get this on you,, because we (you and I) are so allergic to it....ok now here is what i do now.....
Go to a Wal -Mart or a sports store that has camping equipment,, look for or ask for Oak and Ivy Wash.... made by Technu........!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wash the area with this... and follow directions...... it will help..... not cure,,,, but help.....
What I do,, is put in on like a sunscreen before I go out in the woods....it really works good then......to prevent the oil from getting on you......
Get someone to show you what Poison Ivy or Oak looks like,,,, the old saying about vine leaves.... it it has 3 (leaves) ,,let it be... (stay away) that really helps.....
Ok,,,,,,,, hope this helps....
good luck

Sounds to me like you should go to the Doctor for another shot. But in the mean time take a bath with oatmeal and some bleach that will help the itching and take some of the poison out of the Ivy. Don't use to much bleach or you can damage your skin.
