Sin is a human invention made in order to frighten people to go to church and have others make decisions for them. If you think that you are living your life to the best of your ability, that is all that matters. I think that you would do best to listen to your inner voice and question everything you've learned regarding God, sin, hell and the devil.

Perhaps you should think more this way - if even for a moment
Sin or the idea of sin was created by man...
How do you really know God created these commandments?
If today - some guy came out and said:
"Hey - went up on that mountain over there with this burning bush and God - the GOD - talked to me. HE gave me these rules to follow. Says you are gonna all be in trouble if you don't stick to these "
Would you believe this man?

He gave us free will to choose to love Him, otherwise what would our love for Him mean? How strong are your muscles if you never use them? How could we learn to love and respect each other? Jesus was not only human he was divine - hence his sinless nature. Think of the world as having a global spiritual climate rather than focusing on punishment for sin - action and consequences. God is more merciful than humans can comprehend - He knows what's in your heart and mind at all times, particularly when you sin and takes that into consideration. He created you to be in heaven with Him, not to enjoy sending anyone to hell. It would break His heart like any other parent's heart breaks when something bad happens to their child - He doesn't want you in hell and takes no pleasure in it. Watch the movie "The Truman Show" and think about life without sin, living in a controlled environment without free will and see if it gives you a different perspective.

No, he's not a ruthless deity.
God made it possible for us to sin so that we could have a choice.
Seriously, how good would life be for us humans if there was only one way to do everything.
God wanted to give us the choice. To choose right or wrong.
Not so he could test us or punish us when we made the wrong mistake.
God wanted us to decide whether we wanted to follow him or not. He left the decision up to us.
Also, he didn't want followers that didn't decide to follow him. He wanted followers that wanted to follow him. So he gave us the choice.
He does always know the answer. But the decision is always up to us.
He wanted us to be free in the course of our life. To do what we wanted, no matter what the outcome.
By testing free will, you realize who really cares and who doesn't.

If God had created Adam and Eve without the ability to choose, they would have been little robots, not human beings.
We each have the choice to do good, or evil. What do we choose most? Well, I'm sorry to say, too often it is whatever satisfies my immediate desires! I know how weak I am. So I never held it against Eve...I would have been suckered in by the serpent, I'm sure.
God loves you, He loves me. He gives us the choice to follow Him, to love Him, to seek Him, obey Him. He doesn't, by force, make us keep our hands off forbidden fruit. But there are consequences to doing those things which we shouldn't. Just as they were cast out of the garden, and sin came into the world, so do we suffer consequences of our poor choices.

He did make Adam & Eve with the strength to resist temptation. Eve could have refused the fruit but she chose not to. It was a choice to willfully go against God.
What is the point in testing free will? I dont know for sure but i think God has many awesome rewards for those who willfully obey him. Had he not tested our free will, how could he know who truly loves him?

Dude...the reason we were given the ability to sin and free will by God is so that our life here on earth would be a test. Those who pass it go to heaven, those who fail go to hell. The ability to sin gives us a choice between ending up eventually in heaven or hell, instead of giving everyone an automatic free ride.

because if he didn't we wouldn't have free will. It is believed that his greater glory will come from us when we have free will and not as drones. Don't forget that there was only ONE way that Adam and eve could have really sinned and that was to take from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

It's the system.
-Can you make an omlet without breaking eggs?
-Can you get a diploma without going to school?
-Can you perform surgery without making an incision?
-Can you have crops without a storm?
-Can you have a canyon without erosion?
-Can you have fossil fuels without fossils?
It doesn't surprise me that you don't understand the system. After all, you are still just a young fella. Besides, if humans were structuarlly incapable of sin, you wouldn't exist..... so be greatful.
