I had mine done in March at Lasik Vision Institute in Dallas TX. It was right at $2000. This was the cheapest and most experienced place in TX. I checked around Lubbock and Amarillo and they were starting @ $1500 per eye. The cost depends on what procedure they do and also how bad your eyesight is to begin with. Mine cost so much because I was a -5.75 in one eye an a -6.0 in the other eye (which is as bad as you can have and still qualify for Lasik). I also opted for the lifetime enhancement option, which I am using next weekend. I am already seeing 20/20 but the dr says they can make it a little sharper and help with my night vision (a problem I had before the procedure).
My suggestion is to check around for prices. It will help if you know your current prescription so they can quote you more accurate prices. I would also encourage you to check into the Lasik Vision Institute in your area. Highly recommend them!!!

I have had it done and i live in SoCal. It was $1200 bucks for both eyes and i had a slight stigmatism in the left eye which cost a bit more. So, don't know if that is too expensive or not. This was 4 years ago and my vision is great! It is a small price to pay for all the trouble of contacts and glasses.

Can't speak for LA, but I know there are some places where
you can get it for around $2500. The cost does seem to vary
with the complexity of the procedure (stigmatisms may cost
extra).

Depends on where you have it done my doctor charges $2500 an eye. Make sure you do some research into the place before you have it done.

I don't know about your place but It costs Rs 25000 to 30000 in India,& ithink India has the lowest cost for treatment of any disease.
