My prominent eating place in Chicago is Alinea. furnish Achatz, the chef, merely gained the James Beard Award for magnificent chef. i think you're able to do a 12 direction tasting or the 27 direction excursion. maximum courses are small or one bitters. i visit consume issues there that i do no longer frequently like through fact each and all of the flavors are magnificent. This eating place is truly specific. i am going there for my one-twelve months wedding ceremony anniversary. yet another mind-blowing eating place is L2O, which these days opened interior the Belden Stratford in Lincoln Park. I went some weeks after it opened, and it became like that they were in corporation for months! that's a seafood concentrated eating place, and you will additionally do a degustation menu or you may choose on your courses. I did the degustation, and at an identical time because it became large to objective many diverse products, i became way too comprehensive!!! at an identical time as those are my favorites, different appropriate severe-end Chicago eating places are Tru, Avenues (decrease than a clean chef who I heard is large), Spiaggia (Italian), Charlie Trotter's, and Seasons. interior the subsequent tier, i want to advise North Pond (very romantic) and Spring. i'm itemizing the web pages that provides you a greater advantageous concept of the fashion of nutrition. maximum, if no longer all of them, have pattern menus on their web pages.

Depends on what kind of food you are looking for, but a lot of very good choices.

Here are some of my favorites:

Steak -- Gibsons (Mortons is also very good, but a little too formal for me and it's also hard to beat Lowery's if you specifically want just Prime Rib)
Seafood -- RIVA at Navy Pier (tremendous romantic view over the lake and the skyline)
Pizza -- Pizzeria Uno (the original deep dish)
Burgers -- Ed Debevic's (love those rude waitresses and you have to try the wets -- french fries with gravy)
Hot Dogs -- Superdawg (still have carhops)

That should get you started. Bon appetite!

Santorini in Greektown. They've got this beautiful authentic fireplace, the best Greek food downtown (the Psistaria in Lincolnwood is the ultimate, but would take you a while to get out there) and the prices are right. Their wine list is enviable and you get all the comfort of a seaside village in Greece on a lazy summer night.

If money is not an object, try Alinea (http://www.alinea-restaurant.com/). The tasting menu is $125/person and the tour menu is $175/person. Very beautiful food. Plan to spend a few hours just for eating.

Try Mortons. The original Morton's steakhouse is in Chicago. It is located at 1050 N. State St.

You should expect to make reservations. And you will need appropriate attire.
