why do you accept is is better to hold on to what you have rather than take a risk and try to get so, something better?

It just means that what you have is worth more than what you would like to have. Once you have those two in the bush, they are in your hand and no longer count as simply wishful.

Because if you have something it is better than all that you may hope and dream to have but don't. If you risk what you have to get more of something. It may not be what you hoped for. If you lose what you have you may end up having nothing.
The sad thing is allot of times it would be better to appreciate what you have instead of running after what you don't have. You might be surprised at what you might miss once its gone.

Because I would rather have money in my hand than money in the bank. If I have possession of it, I KNOW it's there. If it is in the bank, anything could happen before I could get to it.

don't know but your question makes me think of poker very similar concepts like who wants to chase a couple of dice when they know that they can walk out with what they carried in hint the house alwasy wins and addictions are hard to break

i never understood that untill now..i think people like what they hav and theyre afraid that if they let it go for something better that they might lose them both
