You are a pesky wabbit aren't you, anyways. There is nothing wrong with immigration as long as it is done in a legal and just manner, we are the land of the free and in order to keep it that way people have to abide by the laws and rules that have been created to keep us this way. Why is that so horrible????

I think it is very good. Taxpayers pay money to the state and federal governments to be used to help other US citizens, not illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants are, of course, human beings just like us, equal in every way, but should not be getting money that they do not deserve. However, we need the US Congress to take up this issue, and it needs to go further, to say how illegal immigrants can become legal, and become entitled to these benefits as citizens, or how many we should force to leave, if any.

Anything that prevents ILLEGAL (what part of "ILLEGAL" do most people not understand here?!) immigrants from getting the same rights and benefits as LEGAL Americans is a good thing. Giving these rights and aid that should be reserved for Americans to illegal aliens is not only wrong but insulting to those who immigrated to The United States the legal way! I'm not saying that these people should not come to America, I only say they should have to do it the right way in order to get the same rights and privileges as any other LEGAL American.

Time to take down the Statue of Liberty and close Ellis Island. No immigrant is welcome here anymore. You have to be a citizen. Sorry about that folks, but we just got too darned selfish to be the land of freedom for all, the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free. Instead, we say now,"DON'T send us, the tempest tossed to me." We should put up a plaque that says, "Only if you are a large corporation who can benefit our tax base are you allowed in this country."

I support legal immigration, but the illegal immigration has become a problem, and needs to be done away with as a tolerable practice in america, especially in the business world.

They should have taken the Statue of Liberty down a long time ago. She's French. They hate the French.

Plus we should read the WHOLE bill and not just what the article says. Who knows what riders and subclauses there are.

Its a start! Even though they are worried it will send people into hiding, it will still keep them from spending my tax dollars. They all should do this. I do like that they are using compassion with the elderly and the sick. I want them gone, but Americans are not monsters or heartless.

Stop the undocumented CRAP and either do it legally or stay where you are or go someplace else.We also need to do better background checks to prevent the criminals who are just looking for fresh meat.

It makes perfect sense to me. Now how about requiring people to prove they're US citizens and show a photo ID before they vote.
