Hair grows like fingernails everyday, even if you shave your head bald. Some people though are born without hair and can never get it based on genetics. Some poeple even have hair that grows faster then others, ask your mom or dad if their hair grows fast.

but someone told you they grow when you are dead...that's false.
they appear to grow but only because the skin tissue retracts making it appear that the hair and nails are longer.
everyone's hair grows usually about 1/2 inch per month. But, as soon as your hair leaves your scalp it is dead follicle. Nothing you can do can make it "alive" but you can trim it and keep it in the best condition possible.

i believe so my hair goes all the way down to the middle of my claf right now. and thats from not cutting it for 8 years not even a trim.
