I do want to know, but you didn't tell me. You just told me to lift weights which I already do (bowflex). How much whey protein should I take? I have some but haven't taken any in months.

Whey Protein is a quick way for Protein to get into your system and help fuel the body in order for it to start the rebuilding process. Whey is recommended cause it digests in the system faster than most other proteins and has no fat like the protein in eggs/milk.

It is recommended to use Whey Before and definently after your workouts. Your body can not build muscle without protein so Whey is just the top of the line.

I have recently tried a couple of those power bars. Most of those are made up of whey proteins. Read the labels carefully because a lot of them have sugar! Or Fructose, sucrose or sugar in some other fancy way not called sugar. I like these bars because I ate one before a 60 minute cardio hit and I was able to get through it just fine. It doesn't spike your blood sugar and get you high and then crash you. After you work out you are depleted. I had been eating a banana or a piece of chicken, but these power bars are convenient because you can stick it in your gym bag and have it available immediately after exercise. Most of them have about 190 calories. The brand Balance has one that is 100 calories, but I used one of those yesterday and I am having an allergic reaction to something in it so I think it has some junk fillers in it to make it only 100 calories.
