What I mean is not 'why the Jews' but 'why blame'.

I mean, wasn't Jesus's crucifixion part of the big plan? Didn't he go willingly? Isn't it because Jesus was crucified that believers are saved?

Why don't Christians get down on their knees and thank the Jews of that era for playing a crucial role in their own personal salvations?

P.S. and Judas too.

The point is still true for the Romans (but nobody gets angry at the Romans for 'killing Jesus') - why even speak of blame?

Christians have a hard time with the concept that Jesus was a suicide. Lets look at their beliefs though. He knew what was going to happen even before the sky-daddy knocked up Mary. As a prophet, he knew the time and manner of his death and did nothing to avoid it. Presumably, his very existance on Earth was intended to end in his bloody, gruesome death, yet he came anyway.

Even though his mission on earth was a complete failure, and he lied to his followers, it's in their nature to blame someone.

Deep down, they realize that it's all a load of codswallop, but it's easier to blame someone else than to conciously realize that they have believed one of the most long lasting lies in recorded history. Well, the Romans aren't here anymore, but the Jews are. That makes them an ideal scapregoat for Christians to vent their frustration on.

well why is anyone blamed, today? If I was Jewish, it's not like I personally killed Jesus. Or if I was Roman, it's not like I killed him either. And it's not out faults what the people in the past did. We are just born into a life we have no control over. So why do we KEEP getting blamed for things OUT of our control?

Like land...yes, the Americans stole the Native American's land, but the people who are living their today DID NOT. So it's not fair that the Native Americans still try to get money from us.

Same with African Americans. I didn't make them slaves. Why should I be punished? Why should I give them money to make up for that past? Why should we still have "affirmative action"?
I'm a minority, too. I'm not rich...but I DON'T GET ANY benefits.

It's seems to me blaming someone for someone else sin is a christian ideology. Why else do they think people are born with sin?.. and carry a sin which they didn't do, someone alooog time ago did (Adam and Eve). Jesus (pbuh), to them died for a sin he never did ! .... I call that injustice. To add to the toll of injustice, for salvation, one has to profess that Jesus (pbuh) died for a sin neither they or Jesus (pbuh) did.

The Jews neither killed Jesus (pbuh), neither was he killed in the first place. God the All-Mighty raised him to heaven before any harm was done to him, and will come before the end of time to profess to this. Islam teaches that Adam and Eve were forgiven for their sin, and no soul should be burdened with the sin of another. Everyone is accountable for their actions, and their actions only. Good deeds are the path to salvation on a day where all deeds even of an atoms weight (4:40) will be taken into account and weighted on a balance. Leave the Jews alone, collective punishment is wrong and let God the All-Just punish those (specific individuals living at the time) who wronged Jesus (pbuh) and tried to kill him.

We are speaking of the All-Just God here, if our modern courts don't punish us for crimes we didn't commit and we would all be up in arms if they did, Why would God? are people more just than God? are man-made laws more just than Gods laws? .. Indeed not.

It is so easy to play the blame game.
Jesus was the very center of God's will. The crucifixion fulfilled the Bible prophecy.

Jesus was indeed crucified willingly.

When I saw the movie "The Passion of the Christ" it was hard for me to watch Him get beaten like that. If there was any other way, God would not have allowed this to happen.

Which ones of my sins Jesus died for? ALL OF THEM!

They were not Jewish at least most were not Saul was before he became Paul of course. But for the majority they were mixed that's why Jesus is quoted in John 8:44 calling them sons of Cain and John the baptize called them brood of vipers.Pontius Pilot knew Jesus was innocent but they forced him to convict on false witness of Judas, who later repented an threw 30 pieces of silver back on floor. They had Judas murdered as no one can hang themselves on tree as Bible states he die. This is also confession by Judas who just might be in heaven in my opinion.Yes Jesus was to be killed in this manner and was Gods plan psalm #23-24-25 however we miss the point that he was the perfect sacrafice if looking for blame.

Jesus's crucifixion was allegedly predicted in the Old Testament. Also, Jesus himself allegedly predicted his own crucifixion. Now, although the fulfillment of this prophecy WAS a good thing as far as being one more proof that Jesus WAS the messiah (according to these prophecies) his crucifixion in and of itself was, indeed a tragedy.

The crucifixion wasn't a good thing... the fulfillment of the prophecy was. If you weren't so obviously against Jesus, you would have seen that. What you are doing is a lot like trying to swim with a dead body chained to you. That has adverse effects on your mind.

I don't blame the Jews for the crucifixion.

Part of being a Christian is that I understand that I am guilty for Jesus's death. My sin is the reason that he had to die on that cross.

It's not because of the particular people or culture that he was born in to. God chose to die so I could be cleansed from my sin and so I could have a personal relationship with him.

The Pharisees were the ones who trumped up the charges and paid Judas the silver. They felt like he was taking away their authority and felt threatened by him. Therefore they had him killed. I dont blame the Jews but the Pharisees are responsible. I'm not anti-semitic its just a fact.
