I am getting a new couch and I do not want my cats to ever use it to go to the bathroom like with my previous couch. I got them an electronic litter box to make sure they always have clean litter (which should help) but I was wondering if there is any spray or such that would deter this type of recreational activity?

They sell repellant at pet stores and even other places like Meijer.

In the rug cleaner department at your local Walmart, check for one of the two: Woolite carries a spray that not only eliminates any odor but contains an enzyme to deter animals from returning to the scene of the crime. Also another product is a spray call Kids N Pets...same concept as the Woolite only a tad less $$. Also the Kids N Pets product can be used in your laundry should kitty decide to litter on any of your clothing and such.

Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing!

Can't stop your cat peeing in the house? Then worry no more...

Are you sure that they are peeing or are they spraying? Yes even female cats spray. Especially when they are in heat so that they can attract a male. Getting them "fixed" should fix the problem.

there are sprays.
however it sounds to me as if your cats have a beaver problems which can only be solved by talking to a cat beaver specialist.
talk to your vet he can help you.

also, i personally do not like those electronics cleaners the old fashion do it yourself is much batter.

a few things to do:
try and change their sand to different kind, i use clumping sand of ever clean.
could be they don't like where their box is, move it to someplace else, far from their bowls

have you ruled out any medical problems?

yea you can get some spray to put on there that is suppost to keep your cat off.

I wouldn't waste your money on the electronic litterbox. it scares or startles your cat just one time it could be the end of them ever using it again.

At your local pet store they have a spray repellent that will help keep your cats away off of it.

If you properly potty trained them when they were little you wouldn't have this problem. Unless they are boys and they are markin their territory. My cat used to pee on like, walls and stuff. We got him fixed and now he doesn't. Try a little snip snip.

i don't know about any chemical, even though i'm sure there is, but,.....i've used a spray bottle of water.....and when they go someplace i don't want them to.....or start to scratch a piece of furniture.....i just give them a couple of shots of water.....
usually you only have to spray them a couple of times, and they won't go near it again...
