he totally forgets about my feelings and he never takes control of situations when I need him to. I feel like I am the man in the relationship. He doesnt act like an adult at all. he is 23 and acts like a child. I almost feel like his mother.

He is who he is. Take him or leave him. Communication is important also. Do you ever tell him how you feel or what you want from him? And are you expecting too much of him? Does he even know or understand what it is you are trying to get him to do? I doubt it. You have to be specific, and realistic. If you talk to him the same way you posed this question, you are wasting your breath. Oh yea, and if he continues to be insenstive and indifferent, then he's not good enough for you.

You allow it and as long as you allow it, he will continue to do it. Tell him how you feel and what you think he is doing wrong to you. If he doesn't see it your way, then why do you want to stay with someone that doesn't care about your feelings? I know all about feeling like someones mother in a relationship. I am no longer with that person and will not be with anyone like that. It's time to grow up!

Sounds like my first husband. Except he let his mom make all the decisions. This isn't a partnership--you need to be his equal, not his nanny. Tell him to come see you again once he's grown up.
