well when i start to worry that much i listen to music like iam now. and if that doesnt work i would go and find a nice place to sit and close my eyes and say god take over my life and get rid of my worries. And just trust in god and that might help and he will take care of you. thats what i do put my life in his hand and it helps me not to worry a lot. b/c its not good to worry that much. it could effect your health in the future. I dont know i dont worry a lot.

It is not unusual for people to worry in this day and age. However, you should examine not only what your worrying about, but why. The first thing to do is to think about what control you have over the situation, if any. If you are worrying about something over which you have no control. Then the effort is wasted, and no resolution can be made through worrying about it. If it is something you can control but don't know how, then seek help from a friend or family member. Sometimes just talking it out can be of great benefit. I know this may seem over simplifying the matter, but it really is up to you. You can worry about everything and allow the worry to rule your life and destroy you health (worry related stress can cause many problems), or you can relax, realize that life is a zero sum game that no one gets out of alive, and don't allow the demons of your mind to enslave you. I wouldn't recommend medication, that would just give you yet another reason to worry.

This is a very common emotional problem. It can be caused by a chemical imbalance (related to depression) or it can be caused by environmental factors - for example if you lived in poverty you would always be worrying about food, shelter, etc.
There are drugs available (mostly antidepressants) that can help control excessive worrying. Counseling is another option. I actually believe that any person in search of personal improvement can benefit from counseling - even if you don't have a diagnosed medical disorder.
Some less medical ways of dealing with worrying include:
- Journaling about what is bothering you.
- Talking through your worries with a close friend, spouse or other appropriate person.
- Make a list of things you worry about and try to identify which worries are rational. An example would be - paying the rent is a fairly rational worry if you are tight on funds while fear of a plan landing on your head is unlikely to happen and probably irrational.
- Spend some time each day focusing on the positive things in your life to distract you from the negative things.
If your worrying is interfering with your daily life - you are afraid to do things like go to work or get out of bed because of your worrying - I strongly encourage you to talk to your doctor.

I grew up when the threat of nuclear war was very real and very scary. There were movies and magazine articles about it, which just played up my fears. One day I suddenly realized that worrying doesn't change anything. I could worry all day long and it doesn't have any effect on what I worried about. I thought about this for awhile and decided to stop worrying and just concentrate on enjoying life more. I made a promise that I would only worry about things I could change - would I have enough money to pay my bills, or did I forget to turn the iron off when I left home. Be realistic and it helps. Good luck!

Okay first thing, don't worry because whatever is occupying your conscience now is not worth all this fuss. Second thing take things easy, obstacles are the cornerstone of human lives. They are always there no matter how perfect a person might think he/she is. Don't be scared and worried because whatever dilemma you are facing, you WILL succeed it and overcome it. That's just how life is. If you don't and let it bother you, then it will affect your mental health, and lead to depression and isolation from the outside world.

Talk to your doctor. You may need an anti-anxiety medication (like Xanax) to take the edge off.
Try this in the meantime, try imagining the WORST THING that could happen and how you would deal with it. Usually, the WORST THING doesn't happen, so you have a better chance of relaxing.
Seriously, though, call your doctor. Life is too short to worry about everything!

Randy Marsh only gave you half an answer. It's don't worry.... be happy.
Sounds like you might have an anxiety disorder. You may wish to consult a psychologist. I used to worry all the time. Then I got ulcers and came to the conclusion that I just don't care anymore.
Of coarse I take Prilosec everyday to counter-act the acid my tummy produces but it's a small price to pay. DON'T END UP LIKE ME!!!! Seek professional help to avoid being a slave to a pill.

I'm a big worrier too!! I guess we have that in common. =)
What I do is just find something you really like doing. Try not to think about the things that worry you--this will probably be sort of hard for you, but it really helps. Just dont really think about negative things and dont worry about anything. Maybe you could talk to a friend about your problem--that always helps me.

Constant worrying is a health problem. Though some people just have problems, excessive worrying is usually a chemical imbalance that needs fixing with medication and counseling. This is not only bad for your health, but it damages your relationships and eventually pushes people away.
