Finally, someone speaking the truth!
It's just too bad that so many people are unwilling to hear it...
You're on the right track, just know it for yourself and rest easy in the fact that you are not a slave to humanity's delusions.

So was this actually a question?
Well, I'll give my "answer" (response), anyway.
God & science work hand-in-hand. Since when does God negate science and/or vice versa? Only the most narrow-mided of people truly believe that.
God exists and, other than some extreme circumstances (miracles), He abides within the laws and rules of science. God created science and has used science to carry out His planc. I, personally, don't understand how anyone who truly studies science could ever not believe in a Creator.
But take my word for it. Read Aristotle. Read Darwin. They wrote the theories by which 90% of athiests reason that there is no God. However, both of them were actually quite religious and have written throughout their work that they cannot believe how incredible the creator was to have created such an unfathomably intricate universe.
I guess what I'm saying is this: offer me some proof, any proof, that God doesn't exist and I will my nod my head in consideration. Until that day, I will counter any foolish nonsense you throw my way with biblical proof that this universe, and all that is in it (even you), were created at the hand of God.

Agreed, but for Hawking's sake let me clarify further the point you brought up: Hawking believes one of two things - that the universe is infinite, or that there are limits to time and space. In the case that we are living in a limited universe, SOMETHING that would defy the laws of science we have currently established would have had to "begin" it all. For example, he might ask, what happened the second before the big bang?
Hawking doesn't imply a God, nor does he even specify an *intelligent* creator if I remember correctly - he merely admits that at some point in history, something, supernatural by definition, made *something* from *nothing.* And the something, after billions of years, evolved into us.

Interesting point. Though I don't know that it's reasonable to assume that the universe has a creator. (But who am I to argue with a super genius like Hawking?)
Anyway, this is why the creationists try to convince people that the world is only a couple of thousand years old. If the cosmos were billions of years old then humans aren't all that important in the grand scheme of things and that makes their brains explode. Egomania is an ugly thing.

On a universal scale, human intellect does not have the ability to understand much of what is happening, why it happened, and what will happen in the future, so to fill the gaps in their minds they substitute artificial reasoning commonly referred to as evolution, and darwinism.

If you wish to speak intelligently on this subject, read the book, "Case for a Creator" by Strobel. He's an reporter that tries to survey the info objectively.
By the way, I used to be where you are in thinking, though not as shrill.

So you have come to proof that religion is made up, yet can you prove your theory. Can you name the first person who made up God, can you tell us who thought all this out, because if so they thought out a lot. They have come up with every detail possible. They have filled in every possible gab, they most of had a lot of time on there hands, don't you think? Until you can give me proof, with no gaps, I choose to believe in God, and his existence. To me it sounds as if your "scientific" theory is made up.

I don't want your stupid rhetoric, but do you know, Kaiser Wilhelm, Hitler, Mussolini, Castro, Idi Amin, Mao Tse Tsung, and all the despots of the world were in tune with your ranting. Even Saddam Huessein.

I don't think you're quite clear on what the word "proof" means, nor are you familiar with religious thought other than the blanket statements your deluded mind thinks apply to everyone in the world.
